Byron Bioreactor Technologies (BBT) is transforming microalgae cultivation, addressing the multi-billion dollar demand for non-animal protein and sustainable omega-3 oils. BBT’s innovative AlgaeHive™ system overcomes all the limitations of traditional open-pond systems, such as dependency on specific climates, weather-related risks, contamination, and long setup times. BBT’s modular technology allows for continuous, 24/7 indoor production in any urban location, reducing labour and transportation costs by co-locating with processing facilities. The Company is seeking strategic partners and capital to deploy commercial-grade modules at key locations. This presents a compelling economic opportunity for existing microalgae growers to de-risk their operations, as well as for new entrants aiming to meet the growing demand for microalgal products.
Alg Seaweed is revolutionizing healthy eating with its innovative seaweed-based condiments and cooking ingredients. Gaining traction in Woolworths, independent grocers, specialty stores, and food service, they address consumer demand for flavorful and nutritious options. Alg Seaweed products are made from seaweed, packed with nutrients such as iodine, magnesium, iron, vitamin B12, and are low in sodium. Their revenue tripled in just two years, with successful distribution across 200+ major supermarkets and independent grocers across Australia. Focused on making healthy eating accessible, Alg Seaweed's convenient products are designed for busy lifestyles. Their vision is to transform seaweed into a mainstream superfood across multiple categories. To achieve this ambitious growth, Alg Seaweed is seeking capital to expand marketing, operations, production and distribution, bringing their unique seaweed solutions to all of Australia and ultimately, the global market.
Grange Garlic is the only commercial-scale producer and processor of Australian Fresh Minced Garlic. As the first company to scientifically unravel the mystery of stabilizing raw garlic, Grange Garlic can now offer a superior alternative to consumers who until now have been forced to purchase rehydrated garlic products. Grange Garlic is now producing an unrivalled fresh product that is turning heads in the retail, food service, and food processor sectors. Beyond those markets, the company’s exclusive access to the elusive key component in garlic, ‘allicin’, opens up enormous potential in pharmacology, natural pesticides, natural food preservation plus dietary and veterinary supplements. Grange Garlic is looking to raise capital to expand its production and processing capacity, recruit C-level management and invest in product promotion. After success in Australia, Grange Garlic is poised to take on international markets that are largely restricted to purchasing rehydrated garlic products from China, as they currently dominate world supply.
Harveston Aeration Solutions: Harveston Aeration Solutions provides smart aeration systems that expertly manage storage environments by controlling temperature and moisture levels. This technology offers grain and nut producers, especially almond growers, greater flexibility in timing their harvests to avoid unfavourable weather. A well-managed aerated storage environment ensures optimised control of temperature and moisture content, preserving quality and extending the storage life of grains, nuts, and seeds. Moreover, Harveston’s proprietary process separates valuable almonds from other biomass, eliminating unnecessary drying and transport costs. This process also reduces fertiliser expenses, improves soil health, and enhances yields by returning composted biomass to the soil. Harveston is seeking capital to further develop its on-farm processing prototype, aiming for in-field testing and validation during the 2025 harvest.
VensoGrow brings a step change to seed-applied technologies with a short payback from increased germination rates and crop yields using its patented, dust-free, multi-layer liquid concentrate application system. With optimal drying conditions, VensoGrow allows for precise coating and drying of multi-layer liquid concentrates onto seeds. Each layer can encapsulate chemistry, trace elements, buffering agents, and biological plant stimulants. Our gentle process ensures maximum seed and microbial vigour, viability, and shelf life. Our IoT control system manages the temperature and coating of seeds throughout the entire process, significantly reducing wastage and enabling on-the-go dosage control. VensoGrow is introducing a groundbreaking change to global seed processing technology, which has seen little innovation in the past century.
To add to funding already secured from the Entrepreneurs Programme and SAFE notes, VensoGrow is now seeking additional investment to fund; its MVP of an AI-driven control software (based on a working demo), implement the dose management design and manufacture two optional feeder modules to add to our range, for micro-seeds and lab-scale processes, in readiness for the first commercial machines.
