NAFI Advisory Committee

NAFI’s Advisory Committee is a small group of seasoned professionals who have operated in start-up and early-stage company ecosystems for the Australian food- and ag-tech sector. The Advisory Committee will provide NAFI’s Managing Director with guidance on company selection, curriculum development, networking and ecosystem building.

Cal Archibald

Cal is a Director at Beanstalk AgTech and the AusAgritech Association Board. Cal previously served as the Australian Community Manager for Random Hacks of Kindness a not-for-profit organisation that coordinated a community of 1,000 technologists to solve challenges for charities through hackathon events. Cal’s commitment extends to ocean health and sustainable seafood production and he leads Beanstalk’s aquaculture practice, emphasising responsible practices in seafood production.

Emma Coath

Emma is a highly regarded business leader in the Australian agrifood sector and is passionate about identifying, and supporting the development of, solutions for local and global challenges, such as food security and innovation. She leverages her extensive network and understanding of the agrifood ecosystem to connect entrepreneurs and researchers with investment and market opportunities, and to facilitate cross-sector collaboration and knowledge exchange. Emma is currently the Managing Director of Rocket Seeder and a Non-Executive Director of The Impact Club, Australia’s first impact investing network, and she has been awarded multiple scholarships and honours for her academic excellence and business innovation.
